Assam Satrupa Tippy, 'Thee met Witte Puntjes', zoals er nog wel eens om gevraagd wordt.

De witte puntjes verwijzen naar het nog niet ontloken theeblaadje aan de top van de geplukte theeloten. Door de kleine witte haartjes die dit puntje heeft krijgt het na het drogen een witte, zilverkleurige, donzige uitstraling. Bij andere theevariëteiten of variaties in de bewerkingsstappen zijn de puntjes meer goudkleurig, zoals in deze Assam.

SFTGFOP1 staat voor Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe met de extra 1 voor de mooiste, meest speciale kwaliteit binnen deze gradatie.
