Thee is er in soorten en maten...
Door het ondergaan van een aantal specifieke processen na het plukken van de thee ontstaat het verschil tussen witte, gele, groene, oolong, zwarte en pu erh thee.
Naast thee onderscheiden we ook nog rooibos, kruiden, chai, specerijen en vruchten. Strikt genomen zijn dit geen theeën, omdat er geen theeblaadjes (Camellia Sinensis / Camellia Assamica) in zitten, maar in de volksmond worden ze wel thee genoemd, waarschijnlijk omdat ze veelal als thee worden gezet en gedronken. Omdat we niet roomser dan de paus willen zijn hebben we deze categorieën hier dan ook maar onder losse thee geschaard.
