Pu Erh Tuo Cha - vintage 2000 (pe/bio)

Om het jaar 2020 goed te beginnen: deze prachtige Shu Pu Erh Tuo Cha, vintage 2000. De ideale thee voor Millennials ;-)

De thee is zongedroogd, enkele maanden gefermenteerd, 4 jaar gerijpt in Yunnan, en daarna doorgerijpt in Europa. Prachtige diepe kleur in de kop, heerlijk vol en rijp van geur en smaak.

De Tuo Cha's wegen gemiddeld 98 g per stuk, inclusief papieren wrapper. Ze zijn traditioneel geproduceerd in wollen zakken en daarna in de bekende nestjesvorm geperst. Er zijn dan ook nog wat wollen pluisjes op de Tuo Cha's aanwezig, ter verhoging van de authenticiteit!

Vintage: 2000

Terroir: Xishuangbanna is een autonome prefectuur in het zuiden van de provincie Yunnan in China aan de grenzen van Laos en Myanmar. De Hekai Tea Mountain, met de dorpen Mannong en Manmai, is één van de oudste thee-cultivatie gebieden ter wereld. De theetuinen zijn verspreid over de heuvels en bergen tussen 1.200 en 1.800 meter en bestaan vooral uit 200-400 jaar oude theebomen. De meeste theebomen zijn van de "Da Ye" Yunnan grootblad variëteit, met een gemiddelde hoogte van 3-7 meter. Het gebied heeft een zuidelijk, subtropisch, monsoon klimaat met overvloedige regenval. De gemiddelde jaartemperatuur is 18.1°C met een relatieve luchtvochtigheid van 82%. Het klimaat is dus warm en vochtig, ideale omstandigheden voor de theebomen.
