Prachtige nieuwe aanwinst in onze theewinkel: de bloemetjes van de vlindererwt. Kleuren prachtig blauw als je er kokend water op giet. En als je dan een beetje zuur toevoegt, bijvoorbeeld van een citroen of limoen, dan verandert de kleur in een wonderschone magenta.

De smaak laat zich wat lastig omschrijven. Licht-kruidig, beetje groente-achtig, doet ergens wel iets aan spinazie denken.

Dit bloemetje staat ook bekend als Butterfly Pea Flower, kittelbloem, blauwe thee, Blue Chai. De botanische naam is Clitoria ternatea.

Ingrediënten: vlindererwt-bloesem

Zetadvies: ongeveer 5 bloemetjes in een kop, 20 bloemetjes in een pot (glaswerk natuurlijk het leukst), kokend water opschenken.
